THE MODEST GIRL’S GUIDE TO LOOKING HOT

THE MODEST GIRL’S GUIDE TO LOOKING HOT

By: Avanti Giridharan

Dressing up is a big part of most women’s lives. Many women want to look desirable, but showing a lot of skin isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. There’s a misconception that modest women are frumpy or dowdy. That’s not true! Modest women can look extremely attractive and dress well.

Contrary to popular opinions, modesty is extremely empowering and sexy. After all, eroticism needs mystery, not bare skin to thrive. Modesty adds a touch of allure to a woman which leaves people wondering and wanting more. Dressing modestly allows the focus to be on the real deal: The Personality. It also brings out the inner elegance and grace of a woman.

LOOK HOT WHILE BEING MODEST

Looking hot in modest outfits isn’t very hard. It just requires a few basic steps. Here are some guidelines:

  1. Color and Prints: Color makes the outfit what it is, and prints give it an extra effect. Classy outfits are always color-coordinated. You can do this by using contrasting colors (Black and White), complementary colors (Pink and Blue) or color-blocking (Black and Neon). Even pastels, monochrome and solid outfits look lovely. Make sure to select those that work for you and match your skin tone. As for prints, they shouldn’t be too loud. Animal and floral prints usually work best, but you can choose your own. Take care to leave other things plain if a part (or even whole) of your outfit is printed. It’s better to not mix multiple prints unless you’re absolutely certain about pulling it off.

  1. Details: In order to be attractive, you need to be careful about the details. Your outfits should be clean and pressed/steamed without any creases. I’d advise you to invest in good quality clothing that fits you well. It’s important to dress according to your body type so that you can highlight your curves with elegance. Consider getting yourself measured and also resize your clothes if required. Take care to look polished, not sloppy. If the top part of your outfit is loose, then the bottom part should be slightly tighter and vice-versa. You can make use of folding and tucking when needed.

  • Material: Material is an underrated aspect of clothing, but it’s just as significant. High-quality clothing will make you look more chic and put-together. It also lasts longer. When it comes to creating an alluring vibe, let the material do the talking. If you want to keep it flirty and feminine, opt for lace, satin, net or mesh. For a bolder look, go for leather, silk and velvet. But remember to dress for the weather outside (Eg; light layers for breezy weather or a coat and boots for colder climates), so that you don’t feel uncomfortable in what you’re wearing.

    1. Grooming and Makeup: Grooming can make or break a look. It’s all about taking care of yourself to look your best. Good grooming consists of health, hygiene and maintenance. Having a regular routine is the key to achieving good grooming. Personal hygiene is a must (Clean teeth, good nails, fresh breath, trimmed hair, etc.). Sleeping well, eating healthy and exercising are also included in this.

Sometimes, makeup makes many women feel more confident and beautiful. If you wish, you can wear makeup, but it’s totally alright even if you don’t want to. If you do wear makeup, then keep it tasteful and let it match your attire and skin tone.

    1. Accessories: Now that the other things have been taken care of, it’s time for the additional details. First of all, dab a bit of perfume and pop a breath mint (if needed). Next, choose a chic bag to go with your ensemble and put your required necessities in it (Wallet, keys, phone etc.).

Jewelry and belts can take your look to a whole new level, so use them well. Belts and sashes are great ways to tuck and fit your clothes, whereas jewelry adds more versatility. I would recommend that you decide on a single piece of jewelry, since too many pieces might clash. The color and type should match the outfit you’ve put on (Printed and ruffled clothes can do with a simple locket, but a solid/plain attire could have statement earrings). If you’d like to keep it classic, you’ll never go wrong with a watch.

When it comes to footwear, the choice is yours. Heels do make a woman seem more attractive, but there are plenty of stylish flats and boots to choose from as well. Just see to it that they’re clean, polished and of high calibre to offer better comfort to your feet.

    1. Confidence: Last, but definitely not the least, is ‘Confidence.’ Confidence is one of the most important factors in desirability. Remember, sexy is an attitude. Your confidence shows the world that you know your worth and that you value yourself. Nothing is more attractive than a confident woman with standards. When you’re comfortable in your own skin, you’ll carry off any outfit and seem twelve times more attractive in the process.

    CLOTHING RECOMMENDATIONS

Quite often, it feels like modest fashion leaves you with limited options. Here are some recommendations that modest women can consider:

    1. A knee length pencil skirt
    2. A floral maxi dress/skirt
    3. A crisp, white shirt
    4. High waisted, fitted trousers
    5. Bell bottoms/palazzos

    STYLE TIPS

    1. Scarves and shawls over tops
    2. Blazers or stoles over tight shirts
    3. Long shirts (and belt) with tights

And remember, Modest is the Hottest!

Forever Bloom Skincare & Biomimic Technology For Younger Skin

MITH sat down with Forever Bloom to learn about some of their top products, including their Vitamin C Bloom Cream, Biomimic Foundations, Dual Action Eye Makeup Remover and more. Forever Bloom products mimic your skin tone through auto-adjusting, color-correcting properties that have many healthy skin benefits. Forever Bloom doesn’t test on animals (vegan and cruelty free). Here is what MITH Learned about this exciting new product line:

    Forever Bloom:

Our Vitamin C Cream has the most stable form of Vitamin C active ingredient and it has a very high absorbance rate. Vitamin C is very unstable, has a very low shelf life and surface life. In the aqua environment, it oxidizes very fast, so you want it to get to the dermis layer of skin as fast as possible to be effective.

Our Biomimic Foundation has nano-encapsulated colors or pigments that slowly release to match the skin color or surfaces that they adsorb on. The skin surface morphology determines the orientation of the molecules.

This is because the skin surface is not flat or homogeneous. It is more like hills or earth from above, some green (new cell), some desert (dead cells) and each area has different moisture level, texture, pigments and tones. These formulas are designed to address all those negative impacts that the skin surface has while allowing skin to function normally.

The reason we call our foundation Biomimic, is because it mimics color from biological surface (skin).

Besides our C Cream and Biomimic Foundations, here are three more of our products:

    Hydrating Aqua Marine:

It is an algae-based, none-foaming formula with moisturizing effect. The formula is designed to do all the necessary steps for cleansing the skin without changing the skin pH.

If you have used soap or foaming cleanser, you would have noticed your skin becomes really tight upto 20 min after. That means that product has changed your skin pH to a very higher level.

Our product does not do that.

    Eye-Makeup Remover:

The eye area is the most sensitive area. The skin is the thinnest of all skin types in the body, anything absorbs it has a cumulative effect on the eyes, too. The eyes Require something extremely gentle that can remove both oily and non-oily makeups or minerals. The eye naturally cleanses itself with tears, so we formulated this product to a pH of close to tears and with cucumber extracts for a calming and relaxing effect.

    Amino Peptide:

The main function of skin is to prevent anything from going inside the body. Peptide is a part of proteins, which are large molecules that cannot penetrate the skin, like collagen. However, our amino peptide is a building block of collagen and small enough to penetrate the skin, that’s why it absorbs fast. Once inside the skin, it triggers the signal to the brain, and the brain thinks that the collagen has been broken at some part of the skin and needs to fix it or make more collagen. In other words, it is cheating on the brain with something we call it “cell signaling” in science.

Q&A with Presyon Apparel Activewear Founder

Emir Jevric, Founder of Presyon Athletic Apparel, discusses the innovative high-end design line and why it’s going to dominate the fitness industry:

    Why Presyon?

The word Presyon means “pressure” in several different languages. Being that we live in the world where we face different obstacles everyday and that we are forced to work and perform under pressure, “Presyon” seems to be a pretty adequate name for our brand. And that brings us to our slogan: “Perform Under Pressure.” Our goal here at Presyon is to help our customers perform under pressure.

When did you first realize you wanted to pursue a career in fashion?

I’ve been actively working out for over 20 years. And before e-commerce and search engines, it was hard to find gym wear for men. There wasn’t a real fitness line. Things have changed. The fitness industry has boomed overall and is improving each and every day. I believe I can have a significant input, as well. So to answer your question, passion was always there. Realizing the dream started about 3 years ago.

Don’t you think starting a fitness line is very competitive? Why should customers choose you over other brands?

You are right. Market is flooded with different brands, and all of us are trying to find our uniqueness. This doesn’t go for just the aesthetics and the designs. We at Presyon pride ourselves in the high-end quality of our product, and in that area, we are able to compete with some of the well-known brands out there.

Would you share on how Presyon got started and how it developed?

Very early in my childhood I took interest in professional bodybuilding. I was surrounded by athletes my entire life. Love for bodybuilding has led me to study Physical Therapy and Human Anatomy in depth. I do plan to use my knowledge to create products that will help our customers, everyday gym enthusiasts, runners, yogis or professional athletes to perform better. In late 2021 we will be launching an actual active wear that will support be for everyone. Our current products have received amazing feedback on the quality and comfort that they offer.

So we can expect more from Presyon in the near future?

Yes. Definitely. Due to the Covid slowing down our factories and production, we are slightly behind on our projected goals, but we are catching up. There will be more exciting products coming out before the end of this year and entire new lines in 2021. We also are in the works to release a lot of fashionable style and gym-friendly products as well.

    8X National Champion  @aidasreklys

    Who are your target customers?

Everyone that is active is our target customer, or just those that want to look great in our activewear. Last year we launched an amazing seamless yoga line that won over all of the yogis that have purchased it. We had very few returns and spent most of customer service time reading and replying to positive feedback.

How is working with Presyon different from your previous career?

I’m an entrepreneur so I’m always involved in a few different ventures at a time. I’ve been working in real estate for over a decade and love it. Real estate has given me extra free time and resources to start fitness apparel. I could draw lines of similarities between the two such as marketing, branding, sales, etc., which are all very important for both industries. The fun thing about Presyon, is that I get to create and also interact with influencers, athletes. I also get to see my neighbors and friends wear my product, and that makes me happy.

What was your biggest fear when starting the line?

I never had fears. I just had a lot of questions. And thankfully, I had and I still have great people around me.

How do you want women and men to feel when wearing your fitness clothing?

First and foremost, I want everyone to feel comfortable. When it comes to women, I want them to feel confident and happy when they wear Presyon. I want them to confidently perform under pressure.  I believe feeling confident is actually more important than just feeling sexy and attractive. As far as men go, I think they finally got that comfortable gym wear that they can “rock” outside of the gym, too!

Dr. David Shokrian offers Non-invasive Morpheus8 for Skin Renewal

Dr. David Shokrian of Millennial Plastic Surgery first Manhattan-based Medspa owner to Offer Morpheus8 in combination with Revolutionary Forever Bloom Biomimic Technology

MITH is all about natural beauty. When we heard about a non-invasive treatment called Morpheus 8 that repairs skin damage and restores youthfulness, we had to know more. Here is a quick Q&A on Millennial Plastic Surgery with Dr. David Shokrian to learn more about their facility in general, and also the Morpheus treatment:

    Q&A

Q: What is Morpheus8, and what does it do for the skin?

A: Morpheus8 is a non-invasive treatment that eliminates acne scars, wrinkles and other skin imperfections utilizing micro needling with radiofrequency using inmodeaesthetics equipment. Basically, the radiofrequency microneedling breaks down cells in the facial tissue, allowing new cells to reconstruct for a more youthful appearance. Used alongside Forever Bloom Skincare for best results, the Forever Bloom products utilize hydration creme with Real Stabilized Vitamin C, grape seed extract, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Hydrolized RNA, Sodium DNA and Beta Carotene (Pro-Vitamin A) for dry, mature, sensitive and environmentally damaged skin. Also used for recovery care is is Amino Peptide Youth Recovery Complex, a unique combination of FOUR ADVANCED AMINO ACIDS and plant-derived neuropeptides which help to minimize the look of facial expression lines and wrinkles, especially forehead lines and around the mouth Complex.

Q: How did Millennial Plastic Surgery get its start?

A: Millennial Plastic Surgery opened its doors back in 2017. Over the past three years, the practice has grown tremendously. It has turned into one of the most premier plastic surgery practices in the tri-state area. Millennial Plastic Surgery happily accepts patients from all over the country as well as all across the world.

Q: How did Millennial Plastic Surgery get so successful?

A: A lot of the success of Millennial Plastic Surgery has been due to the fact that it is a practice that is young, creative, and combines science as well as the most advanced technology for patients to achieve the best results possible.

Q: How do you mix in scientific advancements and the latest technology with your practice?

A: Millennial Plastic Surgery has invested a tremendous amount of time in researching and learning about the different types of technologies and the different types of products available on the market and oftentimes combines that knowledge and technology to improve patient outcomes. One company that Millennial Plastic Surgery has partnered up with is Inmode Aesthetics. Inmode Aesthetics has introduced the concept of radiofrequency in both invasive and non-invasive forms. One product they offer is Morpheus8, which allows for radiofrequency and microneedling to be combined in the same modality. It allows for skin regeneration, collagen synthesis, and elastin formation to give patients a beautiful rejuvenated appearance without the scars and downtime of surgery in a non-invasive procedure.

Q: Being transparent with your patients is important. How do you implement this with your patients and/or future patients?

A: We are known for our transparency with our followers and the surgical community overall. Besides having a very robust Instagram and social media presence, we care greatly about patient education and information. I use the time in the operating room not only to focus on patients and their outcome, but to also show live surgeries on our social media. I use this time to answer audience questions as to what exactly is being done, how it’s being done, and why it’s being performed a certain way.

Q: You often “go live” from your Instagram account (@millennialplasticsurgery). What does this entail?

A: Patients from all over the world often tune in and have a plethora of questions that they would normally ask during a consultation. However, during these live surgeries, they have the opportunity to ask these questions and get them answered simultaneously while watching a live surgical procedure. This is something that I pride myself on tremendously. I’m a huge advocate of patient education and I take additional steps to make sure the patient understands exactly what the procedure they have chosen entails and what the expected outcome can be.

Q: Have you inspired other millennials to join Millennial Plastic Surgery through internship opportunities? How have interns in the past enjoyed their experience at Millennial Plastic Surgery?

A: Millennial Plastic Surgery has over the past three years engaged with various outstanding institutions in internship programs. Students engaged in any aspects of healthcare such as marketing, management and economics have had the opportunity to work in a new and rapidly evolving practice, and their experiences have been nothing short of exemplary. Students often come to Millennial Plastic Surgery and are interested in advancing their medical knowledge, which can be achieved by following me through the daily routine of operations, consultations, post-operative follow-ups and patient management. Interns are also able to work with the administrative staff to understand how to better manage a thriving practice on a more administrative level. Our interns are very excited about the novel use of social media that we administer daily to grow the practice and educate followers.

Q: Where do you see Millennial Plastic Surgery in the future?

A: In a very short period, Millennial Plastic Surgery has achieved a status of excellence and it is something that we are very proud of. Millennial Plastic Surgery’s future includes opening additional locations in the Northeast as well as the Southeast and hope for expansion further west as the practice and surgeons joining the practice continue to grow.
